So we went up north to visit our filipino "family" last weekend for Ammon's birthday. We stayed at Robert and Luisa's house, they are very nice and always spoil us when we go there. Friday night we had barbeque tri tip beef that was so good... I'd never had it before but holy cow I'm going to have to start cooking it. Then on Saturday we went to Yayeh's house (she's a filipino and her american husband Bob is a nurse) they are so nice and always cook tons of filipino food when we come. One of the other filipina's had this blow-up water slide that the kids played on for hours, then we sang happy birthday opened presents and had cake and ice cream and later that night we sang karaoke for a couple hours. It was just like we were in the Philippines again... and the kids had a blast playing with all the other kids. On Sunday morning I (shaun) went fly-fishing with robert, bob and another of their friends Mitch. We got up at 4:15 am and arrived at the Weber river around 6:30. So Bob is an expert fly fisher and on saturday spent a couple hours teaching me how to cast and everything to get me ready. He let me borrow waders, boots, and his very expensive fishing pole. It was a blast walking around in the river in the waders trying to catch fish (key word trying) everyone caught one but me. After we got home that afternoon we had another party for another of one of our friends named Sally who's husband went on a mission back in 92. By sunday night we were partied out and we finally got home at 12am.
